The HPCLab is in charge of computing equipment and resources provided by the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad Central through the Computer Engineering Department and the MSc. program in Modeling and Simulation. The laboratory supports research activities and scientific collaborations; it also supplies teaching resources for both graduate (MSc in Modeling and Simulation) and undergraduate (Computer Engineering and Mechanincal Engineering programs.
Currently, the HPCLab provides high performance computing services to research projects for biomechanical, atmospheric and fluid flow simulations, medical image analysis, computer vision, web services and cloud computing, georeferenced systems, visual computing and advanced 3D rendering, machine learning and information retrieval, etc.
The laboratory is located at the Universidad Central (sede centro).
