To obtain a realistic version of simplified skeleton models (s.a. the Kinect SDK skeleton tracking approach), an enhanced model is proposed, preserving the physiological and biomechanical properties of the human musculoskeletal system (fixed body segment lengths, restricted joint ROMs and degrees of freedom, etc.). Proper algorithms are applied to control the detection errors and anomalies of the commercial SDKs.
